Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: de mal en peor

Today, students received an introduction to adverbial clauses and the subjunctive. We used the textbook to get students thinking about the role of certain conjunctions, using both the subjunctive and indicative. We concluded class by orally discussing text pages 194-195. Students were encouraged to study all of the conjunctions presented in class today.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

The quiz originally scheduled for tomorrow will now be on Wednesday. Students watched the Video scène for lesson 2 today. They also completed the video packet activities distributed in class. Some of these were collected and graded. Students also received a homework worksheet testing their knowledge on the rules of adjective agreement for masculine and feminine. These worksheets are for tomorrow's class.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students warmed up today with a review activity from chapter 5A, asking students to recall and produce chapter 5A vocabulary. Students completed "Writing Audio Video" workbook pages 102 and 103, again testing their knowledge of the 5B vocabulary. All answers were gone over on the board. Students ended class by completing an "Exit pass" once again testing their knowledge of the preterite tense.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: s'attendre à ce que + infinitive

Students were asked to continue studying the uses of the present and past subjunctive, conjunctions of time, cause and objective for tomorrow's class. Students will also continue to study the use of the ne pléonastique.
