Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: llevarse bien/mal con

Students warmed up with a present / past subjunctive activity. Students were then encouraged to ask questions regarding the different adverbial conjunctions and how they function in the context of the subjunctive. Students ended with a discussion of the uses of the indicative and the subjunctive. There will be a quiz tomorrow.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students started with a worksheet from lesson 2 addressing the agreement of adjectives with their subjects. Students completed a number of activities in the workbook packets, pages 17, 19, 20 and 22. Students ended class with a "rapid fire" oral activity testing their knowledge of the vocabulary and grammar from lesson 2.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students began class with a warm up taken from the ancillary practice workbook quizzing them on their knowledge of the irregular preterite stems. Students spent the rest of the class in groups of 2, completing text, page 274, activity 12, parts 1 and 2. Students will complete part 3 of this same activity for class tomorrow. Students should expect a quiz in the very near future.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: noyer le poisson

Students began class with a worksheet using the past subjunctive. These responses were gone over on the board. Students then participated in a "verb round-table". While sitting in a small circle, students were given a verb and tense. Each member of the class then had to conjugate the verb in that tense until the verb was fully conjugated. There will be a quiz on the uses of the subjunctive tomorrow.
