Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: contar con

Students recapped the uses of SE.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students took their quiz on lesson 3 today. We will begin lesson 4 on Monday.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students completed a review crossword of lesson 5B today.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

No class was held today due to the pep rally.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: se le saltaron las lágrimas

Today, students participated in another rotation activity, being paired up and using the word SE in a variety of contexts. Students were asked to bring back all materials tomorrow as this unit will finally be recapped.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students received a review worksheet for chapter 3. Students saw the "Video-scène" for lesson 3 and completed the activities to go with the video. Students ended class by completing a brief exit pass/quiz on the use of inversion to ask questions. They have a quiz on lesson 3 tomorrow.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students took their test today on chapters 5A and 5B.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: faire l'école buissonnière

Students took a large quiz today on the use of the subjuntive past vs. passé composé, the use of the three main past tenses of the indicative, and the rules of agreement of the past participle.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: llover a cántaros

Students used today as a study hall period. Tomorrow they will take part in another rotation activity using the various contexts of the word SE.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students used today as a study hall period. They will have a quiz tomorrow and Friday on lesson 3. We will also watch the video scene for lesson 3 tomorrow.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students used today as a study hall period. They have their test tomorrow on chapters 5A and 5B.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: être à l'aise

Students used today as a study hall period. They will complete / re-do their work on the poem Femme Noire for tomorrow. They will also have a quiz tomorrow on the use of verbs in both subjunctive and indicative, as well as the role of the past participle.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: por poco + presente

Students went over the homework activity. All questions were answered on the board. Students then received a worksheet on the passive voice, both complete and incomplete. Students received a variety of practice worksheets testing their knowledge and adaptability for the use of the word SE and the passive voice.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students went over the homework from the textbook. Students then completed the workbook, pages 25 and 26, activities B.3, C.4 and C.5. All answers were completed on the board. Students were reminded of the quiz this Friday and possibly a quiz on Thursday as well.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students played Round 2 of Jeopardy for the chance to win 2 extra points on the exam on Thursday.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: le monde entier / Il y a beaucoup de monde.

Students completed going over the list of function words. Students then worked in pairs to complete a subjunctive activity.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: echarle de menos

Students received an introduction to the 8 uses of the word "SE" today. For homework, students got a worksheet to continue practicing the uses of the subjunctive and to try using these new uses for the word SE.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students started off today by reviewing some of the expressions with avoir and faire. We went over the homework worksheet handed out on Thursday. Students became a little more familiar with the expressions using avoir and faire. Students also got a sneek peek at the passé composé. Students also took a look at the use of inversion in asking questions in French. Students ended class by starting activity 8 on page 60 in the text. The correct questions were gone over in class and students were asked to respond to the questions for their home assignment.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students played a game of Jeopardy to prepare for the upcoming test. Today's game was based on chapter 5B. There will be another game based on chapter 5A.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: C'est bien ton fort.

Students received a copy of the "Function Words" that are possible as fill-ins on the AP exam. Students will define the back side of the worksheet for tomorrow's class.
