Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Students took their CORONEL test today.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students started class by completing a worksheet on negation. Students also completed workbook, page 61, activity 2/C, page 63, activities A/1 and B/2, and page 64, activity D/5.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students took a pop quiz today on lesson 6B. Then they saw episode 3 of La Catrina. They will complete the activity packet for Monday.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Today's phrase of the day was: donner un coup de main

Students completed AP workbook, "Rejoinders" section 5, "Dialogues" section 1 and "Function Words" section 2.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today. Students reviewed for the test tomorrow which is composed of: True/False, Vocabulary, Character ID, and a BCR.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students completed a warm up and handed this in. Today students learned how to make a sentence negative, with expressions such as ne...personne and ne...rien. Students completed workbook, page 64, activity C/4 as well as orally completing text, page 124, activity 5. Students will study up to page 125 for tomorrow's class.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students received another warm up activity today. This was gone over. Students then listened to text, page 332 activity 18 and wrote their responses on their warm up activity. These answers were gone over on the board.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: Ce n'est pas à cent mètres d'ici.

The remaining three students completed their oral discussions / presentations today.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today. Students presented their Coronel skits. Their test on the book is Friday.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students got their quizzes back from lesson 6. Before the lesson, students took a dictée of 5 questions having to do with the Video scene. They wrote the questions and then answered them based on the homework from last night. The actual dialogue was played on the CD once after students had about 5 minutes to answer the questions. Students were given another minute or two to answer any questions not previously answered. We introduced the verb VOIR today. This was reinforced by completing activity 1 on page 122. We also did some review of the passé composé. Students orally discussed activity 3 on page 123. Students were asked to study VOIR as well as the passé composé again for tomorrow.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students were greeted with a two-sided worksheet, testing their knowledge of the indirect object pronouns and the verbs conjugated like GUSTAR. We also had a general introduction today about the present perfect tense. We ended class by orally discussing and completing page 331, activity 17. Students were reminded to continue studying the present perfect for tomorrow, page 331 in the text.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: donner le feu vert

Three students presented their discussion topics today. We will finish with the remaining three tomorrow.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today. Students spent one more class period preparing for the Coronel skits tomorrow in class. Students were reminded about the test being on Friday.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students took their quiz today on Lesson 6. They were asked to read the Video-scene for lesson 7 for tomorrow.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students were given a welcome activity seeing if they can identify the new vocabulary words from 6B. Students then got a review of verbs conjugated like GUSTAR. This was reinforced using activity 11 from chapter 6B. This activity was collected, and then gone over in class with the students.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: Tout n'est pas rose.

Students returned to media today to continue working on their oral presentations / discussions that will be presented in class on Wednesday.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today. Students again worked in their groups to prepare for the oral presentations on Wednesday. They have a test on Friday on the Coronel.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students opened class today with a 3-page packet using the passé composé with AVOIR. Students also used the workbook to review. We completed pages 53, C, 54, A/B 1, 59, D5 and 6. Students also viewed the Video Scene in preparation for tomorrow's quiz on lesson 6.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students completed the final draft of their writing today. Students also received the vocabulary list for lesson 6B. We will begin studying 6B in class tomorrow.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Today's phrase of the day was: un dialogue de sourds

Students worked in media today to start preparing their oral discussion ideas. These will be presented on Wednesday on a topic of their choice.
