Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: debido a / por cuenta de

Students had a quiz on the future perfect today.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students completed workbook, pages 67 and 69.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students received a review packet asking them to brainstorm vocabulary from 6A and 6B. They kept these packets and will use them to study for the upcoming test on these chapters on Wednesday of next week.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: Dites trente-trois.

Students completed "Function Words" section 3.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: los damnificados

Students warmed up with a present perfect worksheet. Students then learned about the future perfect. They discussed text, pages 189-190, activities A and B. Students concluded class with a future perfect activity sheet. This was gone over but not collected. Students have a quiz on the future perfect tomorrow.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students continued to work on the passé composé by completing another worksheet. Students will continue studying the forms of the passé composé with AVOIR and ÊTRE.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students completed a worksheet with verbs like GUSTAR and the present perfect. Students also did "Writing Audio and Video" workbook page 120, activity 8.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: se ressembler comme deux gouttes d'eau

Students completed "Rejoinders" section 8, "Dialogues" sections 3 and 4, and "Verbs" section 1.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students continued studying the perfect tenses today. They worked in small groups on a worksheet asking them to choose one of the many perfect tenses. Students received a worksheet on the future perfect. We will continue studying the use of this tomorrow.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

We went over the homework assignment for today, text, page 134 activity 3. Students worked most of the period on a two-sided worksheet using the new information concerning DR and MRS VANDERTRAMPP. We discussed activities A and B, and students will complete C-E for tomorrow's class.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students got 5 minutes to quickly look over the article they were asked to read for homework last night. Then students took a comprehension quiz on the article. Students ended class by playing a vocabulary review game.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: se passer de

Students did some AP review practice today, completing "Rejoinders" sections 6 and 7, along with "Reading Comprehension" section 2.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: dar por sentado

Students took their quiz today on the Cueva de Salamanca. After the quiz, students received a three-page packet testing their knowledge of the past participle. Students will read the packet for this evening and be prepared to use the different compound tenses tomorrow.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students were greeted with a warm-up activity testing their knowledge of the passé composé with verbs using AVOIR as the helping verb. After going over this on the board, students got an introduction today to the verbs that use être in the passé composé. They received two worksheets showing DR and MRS VANDERTRAMPP both artistically and in table form. We went over the homework from last night and students were assigned page 134 activity 3 for tomorrow's class.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students warmed up with a crossword recapping lesson 6B. This was gone over and then students completed a classwork activity using both the present perfect and the vocabulary from lesson 6B. This was done independently and handed in. For homework, students received a movie review article from UNIVISION. They will read this for tomorrow's class.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students took a quiz today on the role of negation in French.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: tener en cuenta

Students went over La cueva de Salamanca, including a review crossword puzzle, which was given credit. We also went over a list of prevalent themes in the play. Students will have a quiz tomorrow. The quiz consists of TRUE/FALSE, Character ID, vocabulary (which students were given a complete list of in class) and a short answer question. Students were also told to start bringing their grammar texts back to class.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students read the Video scene for lesson 8. Students read and completed the comprehension questions in their notebooks. The lesson 7 quizzes were given back and gone over. Students were asked to read and study page 132 and to complete activity 2 on page 133 for tomorrow.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students warmed up with a crossword from La Catrina. In addition to the puzzle, students were provided a list of the words in the puzzle. This puzzle was gone over. Students got back their quizzes taken on Friday on lesson 6B. Students ended class with a grammar worksheet. Part A addressed verbs like GUSTAR. Part B will be done for homework and handed in tomorrow.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: faire les gros yeux à quelqu'un

Students warmed up with a worksheet on the use of negative expressions. Students also discussed text, page 196, activity B. Students will have a quiz tomorrow on these negative expressions.
