Phrase of the day: estar fuera de sí
Students finished discussing Act 1 of Bodas de sangre. They also received some themes that are important in understanding this opening act. Students played different roles and acted out the play. They have a quiz tomorrow on Act 1. They were also told to read and complete Act 2 for tomorrow.
Periods 2 and 3 - French 2
Students read from the text today. They read Quatre Surprises. After reading and discussing it with a partner, we discussed it as a class, and discussed why an American may have trouble in similar situations. Students also completed a very brief worksheet using some form of the word tout. They have their test tomorrow on Unit 3.
Period 5 - Spanish 3
Students saw the last episode of La Catrina. They received the activity packet and the comprehension questions for the episode. The class discussed the comprehension questions after viewing the episode. They will complete the episode #14 activity packet for tomorrow's class.
Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT
Students received their creative projects today, in which they will have to come up with their own advertising logo and slogan for an already-existing product. They will read the article. The product they are designing is secret and will not be revealed until the due date for this project which is Wednesday, March 23, 2011. We will discuss the contents of the article in class tomorrow.
