Phrases of the day: entretanto / asimismo
Students started to discuss Yerma today. They received guide questions for the play, and we talked about Act 1. Students got a crossword for homework.
Periods 2 and 3 - French 2
Students began looking at lesson 14 today; they accomplished this by taking a look at the Video Scene for the chapter. Going around the room, students worked on translating the Video Scene into English. Students then orally discussed activity 1 from the chapter. They will complete activity 3 for homework and will be handed in tomorrow.
Period 5 - Spanish 3
Students handed in their homework. Students also completed a warm up activity again focusing on the new vocabulary and the subjunctive. This was gone over on the board. Students also completed an airport activity, also gone over on the board, helped to test their knowledge of the new vocabulary. This activity was collected.
Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT
Phrase of the day: myope comme une taupe
Students completed the Function Words and Verb sections of the 2010 AP exam. We also took a look at the essay and discussed how to write a solid introduction to the topic.
