Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: consultar con la almohada

Students received a packet of a variety of themes having to do with La casa de Bernarda Alba. Students will be focusing on this play over the next week to week and a half.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students read the Video-Scène for lesson 10. We talked briefly about the use of the partitive articles having to do with food and drinks.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students started class with a warm up activity using the different forms of the commands. Students also listened to "Writing Audio and Video" workbook activities 7 and 8. We also discussed and finished the comprehension questions for episode #7 of La Catrina.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: y compris

Students went over the homework completed for today having to do with articles and prepositions dealing with geographical names. Students also received Ecole des Femmes. They will focus on this drama over the next week to week and a half.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Today's phrase of the day was: poner los puntos sobre los íes

Students reviewed the subjunctive materials that have been graded and given back. We further discussed the role of the subjunctive in different contexts.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students took their quiz on lesson 9 today.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students further discussed the role of the formation and use of commands in both the informal and formal tones. We also reviewed the use of the SE in the impersonal tone. Students completed a packet which incorporated both of these structures.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Today's phrase of the day: empoter / rapporter

Students learned about the role of the article and / or preposition when discussing geographical names / places. For homework, students will complete chapter 7, activities M and N, on pages 159-160.
