Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT
There was no phrase of the day today.
Students were in the Dell Lab, and completed "Formal Speaking" section 4. We returned to class soon thereafter to talk about strategies on how to succeed on this type of task.
Periods 2 and 3 - French 2
Students took their quiz on lesson 11.
Period 5 - Spanish 3
Students received a pop quiz upon entering class on the uses of POR and PARA. Last night's homework was also collected and will be graded.
Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT
There was no phrase of the day today.
Students went to the Dell Lab. They focused on practicing for the upcoming AP exam by completing both forms of the 2010 AP exam, oral/speaking portions. Students warmed up by completing a simple "definition" activity of 5 French idiomatic expressions. To end class, students worked in pairs to define / identify common animals. An exit pass activity was also completed, again working in pairs to define / identify common words or expressions.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT
Students took their test on the play today. They will go to the Dell Lab tomorrow.
Periods 2 and 3 - French 2
Students completed a warm up today using boot verbs. This was gone over in class. Students watched the Video Scene for lesson 11. All these activities were also gone over. Students completed workbook, page 102, activity 7.A. They have their quiz on lesson 11 tomorrow.
Period 5 - Spanish 3
Students got their project outlines today for the POR/PARA booklet. This is due next Wednesday, March 9. Students completed the comprehension questions today for La Catrina episode #8. Students completed a worksheet today on the SE impersonal, and they also received a homework activity sheet using POR and PARA. This is due for tomorrow.
Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT
Students finished discussing the play today, and winding up with Act 5. Students will complete all questions for tomorrow and will hand them in at the beginning of class.

Students used today as an independent study hall. They have their test on Bernarda tomorrow. There will be T/F, Vocabulary, Who Said What in the play? and an Essay.
Periods 2 and 3 - French 2
Students reviewed the verb boire today. They also reviewed "boot verbs", as we conjugated a couple on the board. Students completed workbook page 100-101 and we talked about the differences between using the partitive and definite articles. Students ended class by completing text, page 179, activity 5. They will have their quiz on Friday on lesson 11.

Students worked in the Dell Lab today on "Formal Oral Presentation" section 3 and "Informal Oral Presentation" section 5. Students will have their test on La casa de Bernarda Alba on Thursday.
Periods 2 and 3 - French 2
Students completed workbook, pages 97 and 99. They also completed activity 1 of chapter 11, along with discussing the Video Scene. Students completed a brief 5-question exit pass before leaving.

There was no phrase of the day today.
Students discussed the more prevalent themes of La casa de Bernarda Alba. There test is on Thursday of this week. We will be in the lab tomorrow and Friday.
Periods 2 and 3 - French 2
Students used their study hall today instead of this Wednesday.
Period 5 - Spanish 3
Students finished taking their tests today; they were given an additional 15 minutes to complete it. They then used the rest of the period as a study hall. Today's study hall takes the place of the one on Wednesday.
Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT
There was no phrase of the day today.
Students discussed Act 3 of Ecole des Femmes today. They will discuss Acts 4 and 5 on Wednesday. We will be in the lab Tuesday and Friday of this week.
