Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Students used "Formal Written Presentation" section 2 to again work in pairs to come up with a powerful introduction.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students did a rotation activity, pairing up with different partners to speak on a variety of subjects dealing with unit 3 (lessons 9-12). They will see the Video Scene on Monday and will have their unit 3 exam either Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students viewed episode #11 of La Catrina. They also completed the activities in the packet for the episode. They handed in their compositions started in class yesterday.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Students received instruction in a separate classroom today. Their test on Ecole des Femmes will take place next Tuesday.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Students worked in pairs today to learn to write a concise and solid introduction. We practiced with "Formal Speaking" section number 4. We will continue with this process tomorrow.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students went over their homework assignment due for today. Students completed workbook page 107. Students then worked in pairs to write a letter to a son/daughter about the things that needed to get done in preparation for a party. This brief letter would use all of the vocabulary and grammar from unit 3 (chapters 9-12).

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students discussed the homework, La Catrina packet for episode #10. Students then wrote a brief composition in which they talked about what they think will happen in the last four episodes of the video series.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Students completed "Rejoinders" section 11. They also did "Composition" topic #47 and we focused on the writing a good solid introduction in preparation for the AP exam in May.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Students got back their tests. We discussed how to write effectively. We also focused on writing strategies.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students continued to talk about quantities, and today we introduced TOUT and TOUTES, and the plural forms. Students will complete page 190, activities 6 and 7 for homework.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students watched episode #10 of La Catrina today in class. They will complete the packet for homework.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Students went over the questions for Ecole des Femmes. Their test is on Tuesday of next week.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students completed an activity wrapping up the play we just finished reading. This was completed in pairs. Students then listened to some of the speaking samples completed in the lab the other day. Students learned to listen with a critical ear to make recommendations and suggestions.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students read pages 182-183 to practice reading comprehension and their recognition of food vocabulary. Students then read along with the CD on the new Video Scene for lesson 12. Students spent the last part of the class completing activities 1 and 2. Students will study pages 184-188 for tomorrow's class.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students watched La Catrina episode #9. They received the video activity packet and the comprehension questions. They will complete both for tomorrow's class. Students will complete their projects for Wednesday.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students received a wrap up worksheet with questions, themes and discussion topics. They worked on completing as much of this in class today. We will address these worksheets tomorrow in class. Their test on Ecole des Femmes will be next Monday.
