Students took their quiz on Act 1 of Bodas de sangre. We also discussed Act 2 of the play.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students took their test on Unit 3.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students went over the activity packet for episode #14 of La Catrina. Students have a test on La Catrina on Tuesday of next week.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

The class read aloud the article about La Publicité. Students will continue working on their projects that are due next Wednesday.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Students finished discussing Act 1 of Bodas de sangre. They also received some themes that are important in understanding this opening act. Students played different roles and acted out the play. They have a quiz tomorrow on Act 1. They were also told to read and complete Act 2 for tomorrow.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students read from the text today. They read Quatre Surprises. After reading and discussing it with a partner, we discussed it as a class, and discussed why an American may have trouble in similar situations. Students also completed a very brief worksheet using some form of the word tout. They have their test tomorrow on Unit 3.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students saw the last episode of La Catrina. They received the activity packet and the comprehension questions for the episode. The class discussed the comprehension questions after viewing the episode. They will complete the episode #14 activity packet for tomorrow's class.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Students received their creative projects today, in which they will have to come up with their own advertising logo and slogan for an already-existing product. They will read the article. The product they are designing is secret and will not be revealed until the due date for this project which is Wednesday, March 23, 2011. We will discuss the contents of the article in class tomorrow.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Students started reading Act 1 of Bodas de sangre in class today. They were asked to finish Act 1 for tomorrow, be ready to discuss the questions and to also start getting into Act 2.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students saw the Video scene today for lesson 12. Students completed the video activities. Students also went over the homework worksheet, the lesson 11 review. Students have their Unit 3 test on Thursday of this week.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students went over the Catrina episode #12 questions. These were handed in. Students then received the activity packet for episode #13 of the series. These activities were discussed and completed. We will finish the series tomorrow in class, with the test on the whole series either Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students took their test on Ecole des Femmes.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Today's phrases of the day were: matarse de risa / no tener pies ni cabeza

Students started class by completing "Reading Comprehension" section 1. They also completed "Short Dialogues" section 1 as well as "Long Dialogues" section 1. They were given Bodas de sangre and asked to start reading it.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students started class by completing the writing activity in the workbook. This was gone over on the board. Students also completed the Test de Contrôle. To end class, students discussed their answers to Activity 5 on this review Test. Students were given a review packet from lesson 11. This will be completed as a home assignment.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students went over the crossword activity from episode #11 of La Catrina. Students saw episode #12 today and received the activity packets and comprehension questions for the episode. They will complete the comprehension questions for tomorrow's class.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today. Students helped to pilot new testing questions for the French AP exam. This pilot was coordinated through the College Board and our local AP coordinator. Students have their test tomorrow on Ecole des Femmes.
