Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students were in the Dell Lab. We did section 5 of "Formal Oral Presentation" and section 6 of "Informal".

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students continued to work on the new lesson, by using the workbook and completing one listening activity, as well as pages 126-127. These were gone over on the board.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students continued to discuss how the subjunctive is used. We saw a power point presentation about the vocabulary in 8A, and then we completed a fill-in-the-blank activity on the board using the subjunctive.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students were in the Dell Lab today and completed the speaking activities for the 2002 AP exam. We returned to the classroom shortly thereafter and listened to one of the student's sample.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Students took their quiz on Bodas de sangre. They will report to the Dell Lab tomorrow.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students practiced using the vocabulary from chapter 13, sections A and B today. They discussed activity 4 on page 211 in groups of two as well. Students will continue to study this new vocabulary for tomorrow's class.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students were given the vocabulary list for chapter 8A today. They defined the words. Students also had a formal introductory lesson on the use of the subjunctive. Students learned what WEDDINGS verbs are as well. They will study their notes from today as the home assignment and will identify as many verbs as possible in all of the categories of WEDDINGS.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Students listened to each other's recordings from the Dell Lab on Tuesday. We used this opportunity to improve students' level of performance on the speaking part of the AP exam.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day. Students finished watching the rest of the movie. Students will have their end-of-play quiz tomorrow.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students were introduced to Unit 4, chapter 13. We talked about leisure activities. Students, will study vocabulary A and B for tomorrow's class.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students were given a review activity on the preterite and imperfect, along with the formation and use of the commands.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Students wrapped up their discussion of Bodas de sangre today. They began watching the video and will finish it tomorrow. Students will have their quiz on Thursday NOT on Monday of next week as originally scheduled.

Phrase of the day: des promesses brisées

Students spent the day in the Dell Lab practicing recording oral responses to "Picture Sequence" series 4 of the workbook. We also practice "Directed Responses" series 1. Students will present their advertising logos and slogans tomorrow. As a reminder, the point value for this assignment was doubled and is now 40 points, NOT 20 points as previously announced.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Students discussed the third act of Bodas de sangre. Students will be reviewing the play tomorrow and seeing the movie Wednesday and Thursday. Students will be in the lab on Friday and will take their quiz on the play next Monday.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2b

Students took today's class period to continue working on and preparing for the skit presentations tomorrow in class.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students went over the review packet from La Catrina given to them on Friday. Their test will be tomorrow on the video series.
