Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day.

Students completed "Formal Writing" section 3.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students continued studying lesson 14 and got their quizzes back. These were gone over.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students received their chapter 8B vocabulary lists. They completed "Practice" workbook page 164 and will do page 165 for homework.. The verb for today was DAR.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students spent part of the day in the lab, completing the 2008 (B) AP exam speaking part. They also completed the Function Words and Verbs section of this exam.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students took their final quiz on Yerma. After the quiz, students completed "Paragraph Completion with the Root word" section 1 and "Reading Comprehension" section 3.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students took their lesson 14 quiz today. They also saw a video presentation on the Citadelle de Québec.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Today's verb of the day was DECIR. Students went over the last page of the subjunctive packet given out yesterday. Students also received another worksheet which helped them to practice the subjunctive.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today. Students listened to each other's speaking samples from the 2009 AP exam. After, students completed "Reading Comprehension" section 5 and "Rejoinders" section 13.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

Phrase of the day: a una voz

Students finished discussing Yerma today. They have their quiz tomorrow.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students completed workbook, pages 131-133. They also discussed text, page 223, A Votre Tour to end class. They have their lesson 14 quiz tomorrow.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Today's verb of the day was SER. Students received a 4-page packet on the subjunctive. They will finish the last page for homework. The other pages were completed on the screen in class.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

Today's phrase of the day was: mettre / être en vigueur

Students completed "Rejoinders" section 12, "Dialogues" section 6 and "Reading Comprehension" section 4.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students finished watching the movie Yerma. They will discuss the movie/play tomorrow and have a quiz on Thursday.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students continued discussing the use of the pronouns in lesson 14. Students discussed activities 5 and 7 from the chapter. To end class, students took a brief quiz on the usage of these pronouns. They will view the lesson video tomorrow in class.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Today, students continued studying the vocabulary in chapter 8A as well as the use of the subjunctive. From the "Practice" workbook packet, students completed page 156 and in the "Writing Audio Video" packet, students completed page 154. To end class students took a quiz on this lesson. Students also got back the activity completed in class yesterday.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students used the essay question from the 2010 (b) AP exam. They wrote this essay in its entirety and was handed in at the end of class.

Period 1 - Spanish 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students saw the first part of the movie Yerma. We will continue tomorrow. Students will have a quiz on the play on Thursday.

Periods 2 and 3 - French 2

Students further discussed the role of certain indirect/direct complements in French. They did this by completing Activities 4 and 6 from chapter 14.

Period 5 - Spanish 3

Students completed a two-sided worksheet on chapter 8A. Students also completed "Writing Audio Video" workbook pages 150 and 151, activities 8 and 9. Students will have a quiz tomorrow.

Period 6 - French 5 AP/GT

There was no phrase of the day today.

Students went into the lab today, to record their answers to questions 1-3 on the 2009 AP exam. We then returned from the Dell Lab to complete the "Function Words" and the "Verbs" sections from the exam. Students will actually write the essay for the 2010 exam tomorrow in class.
